If a download failed
Most failures come down to the content being private, deleted, or region-restricted, since we can only reach media that is publicly viewable without logging in. If a link is definitely public and still will not resolve, send us:
- the exact link you pasted
- which tab you were on, such as Reels, Stories or Profile
- any message the page showed you
- your browser and device, for example Chrome on Android
That is usually enough for us to reproduce the problem without any further back and forth.
Copyright holders
If you want content removed, please read the DMCA & Copyright page first. It lists what a valid notice needs to contain, which lets us act on it straight away.
A note on what we cannot do
We have no access to Instagram or Facebook accounts, so we cannot recover a lost account, remove a post, or retrieve media that has already been deleted from the platform. For anything of that kind you will need to contact Meta directly.
