SaveReel is a browser-based downloader for public Instagram and Facebook media. You paste a link, we fetch a direct file URL, and your browser saves it. There is no account to create, no app you are forced to install, and no charge.
Why we built it
Saving a Reel you liked, a clip you appear in, or a video you posted yourself is oddly difficult. Most tools that promise to help are buried in pop-ups and redirects, or want you to install something. We wanted a version that loads fast, does one job, and gets out of the way.
What SaveReel supports
- Instagram Reels, post videos, photos and IGTV, from instagram.com links
- Instagram stories, highlights and profile pictures, by username
- Public Facebook videos, including fb.watch shares
Files come through in the quality they were uploaded in. We do not re-encode anything, and we do not add a watermark.
How we handle your data
We do not keep copies of the media you download, and we never ask you to log in to Instagram or Facebook. Our servers do keep basic request logs so we can spot failures and abuse. The Privacy Policy lists exactly which fields those logs contain.
Where we stand on copyright
SaveReel is a tool, and like any tool it can be misused. It is meant for content you own, content you have permission to use, or content whose licence allows it. Redistributing someone else's work without their consent is not something we support, and our DMCA & Copyright page explains how rights holders can reach us.
